SUBJECT: SUNI May 2024 Newsletter

Happy Spring, Neighbors,

Thank you to everyone who attended our SUNI Annual meeting last month! We had a great turnout with special guests including DOTI, the Mayor's Office, and Councilwoman Sandoval.

As the weather warms up, Sunnyside is blooming with ways to connect to the community.

  • Save these Dates:  We're hosting a Plant Sale & Swap, a fabulous May Sipper, and the park clean-up this month, phew!
  • The La Raza Park survey closes soon – don't miss your chance to influence the improvements! Plus, have your say on the Federal Blvd Bus Rapid Transit plans.
  • Park Pitch-In: Lend a hand at the park cleanup on May 11th. It's a great way to make our neighborhood shine.
  • Safety First: Join the discussion on community safety at the Mayor's event on May 7th.
  • Summer Vibes: Free concerts kick off in June, and don't forget the yoga session on the 2nd.  Please support our local businesses and enjoy the community spirit.
